Our Story
Harambee was born from a deep love for Africa and its vibrant hospitality. After years in the industry, we saw the need for practical, skills-based training to uplift service and unify teams. We created Harambee to bridge this gap - offering on-site, hands-on, budget conscious training that empowers local talent and celebrates the spirit of African hospitality

Having worked across Africa in lodges, hotels and resorts, we share a common passion for uplifting people and delivering world-class service. Nicky Bryden
Founder & Head Chef Trainer
I’ve spent the last 25 years working as a chef, development chef and trainer across the world. But what drives me most is working with African teams. I’m passionate about building training systems that make sense on the ground they are practical, sustainable and designed to grow and develop talent. It’s about creating smooth kitchen operations, delivering an incredible guest experience and always honouring the local culture and food traditions that make each place unique

Cleo Drummond
SPA & Wellness Trainer
I’m a registered Therapeutic Massage Therapist with a deep commitment to the connection between body and mind. I have a strong foundation in professional training and hands on practice and I help my teams tap into their body’s natural ability to heal and reset. I use therapeutic touch, simple education and a grounded, compassionate approach. For me, it’s not just about relieving tension, it’s about creating space for real physical and emotional change

I’ve spent over 20 years working in kitchens and hospitality and what drives me most is sharing that experience with others. I’m passionate about food, kitchen management and creating memorable guest experiences but just as much, I care about guiding and mentoring teams.
